How does Criteo decide to buy my advertising spaces?
Prior to each advertising display, Criteo will calculate in real time if it can purchase this display at the guaranteed CPM or not. This calculation depends on the guaranteed CPM that you have set and the quality of your traffic :
- The lower the guaranteed CPM, the greater the probability that Criteo will buy the display, and vice versa
- Moreover, the higher the quality of your traffic the greater probability that Criteo will purchase the display, and vice versa.

How is the quality of my traffic measured?
The quality of your traffic depends on numerous parameters. It nonetheless correlates strongly to the conversion rate observed on the advertising sites which use Criteo, further to advertising on your site.

What is the risk for me when using Criteo for Publishers?
The only risk you run is making more money!
Enrolling with Criteo for Publisher is entirely free. There are no running costs. You can stop at any time without justification, without advance warning and without any penalty.
If you set your guaranteed CPM too high, Criteo will not purchase any of your advertising display. In this case, you will just continue to receive 100% of your revenue from your normal sales agency.

How do I determine my guaranteed CPM to maximise my revenues?
If you are using one single sales agency, start by calculating
your monthly CPM = your current advertising revenues / (current advertising sales per month / 1000)
If you are using several sales agencies, do the same for each one and determine the minimum CPM of your various sales agencies.
Then set your guaranteed CPM = monthly CPM of your sales agency + 10%
You will therefore be guaranteed that all displays sold to Criteo will bring you 10% more than if you had entrusted them to your normal sales agency.

How can I change my guaranteed CPM?
You can change your guaranteed CPM at any time. To do this, you have a personal secure interface available to you 24hours a day. Your new guaranteed CPM is taken into account immediately.
In addition, you can set a specific guaranteed CPM for each advertising format on your site.

Is this system compatible with my other monetisation methods?
Yes, our system is compatible with most terms and conditions on the market as it is based on behavioural analysis (not content-based).

Will my relationship with my advertising sales agency change?
Absolutely not. You keep your account and your normal access codes. You will continue to get your revenue directly from your sales agency. At the end of the month, you just get an additional cheque from Criteo!

How can I try Criteo?

What are the conditions for taking part?
You have to have an Internet site which has at least 300000 advertising impressions each month. Your site must meet with the laws in force and not have any content which is of a pornographic or offensive nature attached. It is imperative that you are over 18 years-old to be remunerated.
